Candy Cream will flower most of the year with heavier flushes in Spring and Autumn. Unlike inferior varieties Elite Dianthus holds their flowers on short stems for long periods and requires far less pruning to encourage new blooms. The flowers are nicely formed doubles. |
| USES: |
Wherever you need long term colour. Dianthus Elite easily out perform other varieties on the market and in our trials flowered for more than twice as long as any other varieties, while remaining compact and not getting "leggy". They are perfect for perennial borders and under planting of standard plants where they will stay squat and colourful. |
| CARE: |
They will perform better and flower more profusely with average garden watering and a fertilize every season with an all-purpose organic fertilizer, but they will tolerate long periods of dry weather once established and are one of the most drought hardy perennials around. Remove spent blooms to encourage fresh flowers. Keep drier in winter. |
